Two AI tools now available — a public genetics GPT and a members-only chatbot
The portal now features two distinct AI tools. ChatGPT-Genetics (by ai-gen.co) is a publicly accessible GPT trained on genetics literature — anyone can use it to explore questions about CLTC-ID, inheritance patterns, and genetic variants. The members-only CLTC-AI chatbot is available after sign-in and provides a conversational assistant focused on CLTC-ID, with sourced responses and a full conversation history sidebar so you can pick up where you left off.
FAQ starter cards for common questions
The chatbot opens with a set of curated starter cards covering the most frequently asked questions about CLTC-ID — including diagnosis, inheritance, seizure management, and developmental milestones — so you can get useful answers immediately without typing.
Copy-to-clipboard on replies
Any chatbot reply can be copied to the clipboard with a single click, making it easy to share information with a doctor, therapist, or family member.
Rerun last reply
If a response was incomplete or you want a fresh answer to the same question, the rerun button regenerates the most recent reply without retyping your message.
Conversation search, pin, rename, and delete
The conversation sidebar supports full-text search across all past conversations. Individual conversations can be pinned to the top for quick access, renamed to something meaningful, or deleted when no longer needed.
Account registration and secure sign-in
Families and clinicians can now create a personal account using their email address. Registration includes email verification, a password you set yourself, and a one-time GDPR consent step before accessing community features. Sessions are stored securely and persist across visits.
Warrior Hub — community profiles for individuals with CLTC-ID
The Warrior Hub is a searchable, community-visible directory of warrior profiles. Each profile can include a photo, a brief bio, mutation details, and a flag for the warrior's home country. Families manage their own warrior's profile and control what is shared publicly. Admins can moderate all profiles from the admin dashboard.
Warrior profile pages with tabbed journal and milestone views
Each warrior has a dedicated profile page with two tabs: a Journal feed for sharing updates, observations, and reflections, and a Milestones tab for recording developmental achievements. Owners can create, edit, and delete their own entries; community-visible entries can be read by other members.
Warriors World Map — see where the community lives
An interactive world map shows warrior pins across the globe, with a small random location offset applied on every load to protect privacy — true coordinates are never stored. Clicking a country reveals warrior cards for that region, making it easy to connect with families in the same part of the world. A live odometer shows the total number of warriors registered worldwide.
Journal — share updates and connect with other families
Each warrior's journal is a chronological feed where families can post updates about therapies, school life, travel, or anything else they want to share. Entries can be marked private (owner only) or public (visible to all community members).
Milestone Tracker — record and celebrate achievements
Families can log developmental milestones such as first words, first steps, or starting school, along with the warrior's age at the time. Milestones are stored and displayed on the warrior's profile, and can be kept private or shared with the community.
Longitudinal Tracker — log seizures and therapies over time
Owners and contributors can now log seizure events and therapy or medication records directly on a warrior's profile. The Seizure History tab displays a 6-month bar chart of event frequency broken down by seizure type, plus a chronological log with per-entry delete. The Therapy & Medications tab lists the current regimen with name, type, dose, start date, and status. All tracker data is included in the Clinician Summary PDF to support handoffs to medical teams.
Upcoming Events — community events in one place
A shared events section lets families and administrators post upcoming conferences, awareness days, fundraisers, and family meetups. Events show the date, location, and a short description so members can plan ahead.
Notifications — stay informed when something happens
A notification bell in the navbar alerts members to activity relevant to them, such as responses to contributor invitations. Unread notifications are shown in bold; past notifications remain visible for reference. The bell polls quietly in the background and shows a toast for new arrivals.
Admin dashboard for member and content management
Site administrators have a dedicated dashboard to review and moderate warrior profiles, manage member accounts (including manual account creation with a temporary password), view an activity log, and handle contributor invitations.
Member-recommended specialist directory
A curated list of specialists and medical teams recommended by the CLTC community, covering neurology, genetics, developmental paediatrics, physiotherapy, and speech therapy. Each entry includes the specialist's name, institution, city, and country, with a direct booking or contact link where available.
